12. Why wasn't Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back Special Edition as popular as the special edition version of Star Wars Episode 4 A New Hope?

The few delusional apologists, who can't accept the true nature of reality, claim the best Star Wars movie is Star Wars Episode 5 The Empire Strikes Back. However, there has never been any objective evidence to support this dire illusion, which isn't even theoretically possible. A Star Wars movie NOT directed by George Lucas has no hope at all of being the equal of the brilliant Star Wars movie episodes directed by Lucas. The loyal and dedicated fans of Star Wars totally reject Star Wars films NOT directed by Lucas.

It's a fact that can't be disputed that The Empire Strikes Back grossed less than half of what Star Wars Episode 4 A New Hope made in theaters cinemas multiplexes around the planet. This inevitable result happened again in early 1997 with the issuance of the Star Wars Special Editions in worldwide multiplexes once more. As expected with no surprise, A New Hope Special Edition generated over $ 135 million U.S. dollars in North American cineplexes with another gigantic $ 120 million U.S. dollars earned in foreign nations and territories at cinemas theatres.

This was the single most successful theatrical re-release of a Hollywood movie in the history of cinema. Second place isn't even close. Only a movie directed by Lucas could attain such stunning box office records that can't be equaled. Not ever never. The wholly inferior The Empire Strikes Back Special Edition earned less than $ 65 million U.S. dollars in North American multiplexes and much less than $ 40 million U.S. dollars in overseas countries cineplexes.

Why don't the legions of imaginary fans of The Empire Strikes Back ever actually show up to prove how popular The Empire Strikes Back is suppose to be with true fans? ? ? ? The truth is that 99.999 percent of fans agree that A New Hope is by far without question the greatest and most superb episode of the Star Wars classic trilogy. To run up the score without mercy even further, A New Hope has sold three times as many copies on VHS video tape and DVD when compared to the anti popular The Empire Strikes Back.
